What We Believe
OUR MISSION
To teach people how to understand and apply God’s Word through verse-by-verse contextual analysis, so that their lives bear fruit, and they encourage others to do the same.
OUR PURPOSE
BAC is not a church and does not intend to take the place of the local church. BAC is a para-church ministry that comes alongside the church. BAC specializes in teaching God’s Word verse-by-verse in a comprehensive way to send class members back to their local churches trained in scripture and eager to serve to Lord with the gifts He has given them to build unity in the church.
OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that God eternally exists as One God in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; John 14:26, 15:26). We believe God created man in his image, but the entire human race fell in the fall of Adam in Garden of Eden and needs a savior (Genesis 1:27, 3:6, 5:1; Isaiah 43:27; Romans 3:23, 5:12).
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God, was born fully man by virgin birth, lived a sinless life, and that His death covered our sin with his shed his blood (Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-4, 10:30-38, 14:10, 17:5,24; Galatians 4:4; John 3:16; Romans 5:1-21, 6:23). We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, that he ascended to heaven and sits at the right hand of the God the Father. We believe he will return to earth in power and glory (1 Corinthians 15:1-19; John 20:26-27; Hebrews 4:14-16; John 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 19:11-16).
We believe that Satan exists and deceives the world (1 Peter 5:7-9). We believe at the moment we trust that Jesus is the Son of God and our savior from sin (separation from God), we will live eternally with the Lord in heaven (John 3:16-22), and that rejection of Jesus as Lord results in eternity in hell (Revelation 20:11-15).
We believe that the Bible is given by the inspiration of God, is trustworthy, true, and without error (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We believe the Holy Spirit is God, the infallible interpreter of God’s Word, and indwells every believer to lead them in holy living (John 14:15-17, 26; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18).
And we believe that the commission of all believers in this age is to proclaim the gospel to all (Matthew 28:28-20; Acts 1:8)!
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
James 1:22
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
John 14:26
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
John 1:1-5
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
